It All Begins With Art : Do The Arts Influence Greatness?

An artist could exhibition a hairy scrotum and call it art. This is the boldness in multi chromatic paintings and brushstrokes taken beyond the canvas. That artistic parrhesia of adorning mundane uncanniness is what am talking about. Well hairy balls are kinda artistic, something like the spaghetti monster, You know.. The meatballs and flying spaghettis.

Like what could lead a sucker for detail like the artist Pablo Picasso to atheism? Maybe he thought he would have done a better job in creating the universe than God, Or maybe art gave him the tranquility people seek in God. His craftsmanship legacy lives on years after his death, with his paintings grossing among the highest prizes ever in art., Billionaire Rappers like Jay Z & Dr. Dre referencing him in their tracks, it could make you ask yourself if idolising Picasso made the rappers rich or maybe the boldness and anti-mediocrity is contagious once you see a Picasso painting.

The Weeknd X Basquiat

One of the most important American artists of the 20th Century Jean Michel Basquiat influenced The Weeknd’s trademark haircut. Basquiat lived for only 27 years but he depicted a typical man with a deep sense of Art in dire need for emergency catharsis to let it all out. Seems like no canvas was enough for him to do so, He died of a Heroin overdose leaving works to later influence Jay Z, Frank Ocean, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Macklemore, Danny Brown, The Weekend, Asap Rocky, J Cole, Killer Mike, Cyhi The Prince, Nicki Minaj, Fall Out Boy, Yasiin Bey, Madonna… All who referenced him in their music.
Madonna as an unknown aspiring singer in 1983 was Basquiat’s girlfriend, Now you tell me if art doesn’t influence greatness.
TED was conceived in 1984 by architect and graphic designer Richard Saul Wurman, who observed a convergence of the fields of technology, entertainment and design.
This is accurate because Basquiat also worked briefly with musician and artist The Late David Bowie in 1982. Bowie had controversial views on religion and politics, usually siding with the most extreme opinions. Perhaps in hindsight that was just his artistic side seeking to explore unexploited prospects. Bowie’s sexual orientation was also a point of interest, like Shakespeare’s liaisons or Leonardo da Vinci’s androgynous sense of adventure.

Speaking of da Vinci, He was two things, great and great, .. Most people with no idea of what art is think that da Vinci invented art or the Mons Lisa is the most expensive painting, the point I am trying to make is that everyone knows da Vinci.. Including my grandma, you can’t blame them considering his talents endowed by heaven with beauty…. From paintings to journals,.. One of his journals The Codex Leicester is the only major scientific work of Leonardo da Vinci in private hands. It is owned by Bill Gates and is displayed once a year in different cities around the world. The codex provides an insight into the inquiring mind of the definitive Renaissance artist, scientist and thinker as well as an exceptional illustration of the link between Art & Science & the creativity of the scientific process.
Business magnate Bill Gates bought the Codex Leicester for $ 30.8 million on 11th Nov 1994 in NewYork. Since then, He has been named the world richest and also among the most philanthropic.
Gates has credited the generosity and extensive philanthropy of David Rockefeller as a major influence. The Bill and Melinda Gates foundation charity work is modelled on the Rockefeller family’s philanthropic focus.
David Rockefeller is the oldest living member of the Rockefeller family with a net worth of $ 3.0 billion. Another source of asset for David is his formidable art collecting, ranging from impressionist to postmodern.
Carlos Slim.. World’s second richest credits part of his ability to discover investment opportunities early to the writings of his friend futurist author Alvin Toffler. – Literary Arts

The Arts encompass a host of disciplines  ranging from
Literary Arts- Poetry/ Novels/ Epics.
Performing Arts- Music/ Dance & Theater.
Culinary Arts – Baking/ Chocolateering/ Wine Making.
Media Arts – Photography & Cinematography.
Visual Arts – Drawing/ Painting/ Ceramics & Sculpting.

Sense of Art in a President.
Incumbent Barrack Obama won Best spoken word Album Grammy Awards for abridged audio book versions of his book ‘Dreams From My Father’ 5 days before assuming office in 2009- Literary Arts converging with Performing Arts.

At Age 16 in 1905, Hitler lived a Bohemian lifestyle of marginalized and impoverished artists in Vienna. He worked as a casual labourer and eventually as a painter. Vienna Academy of Fine Arts rejected him in 1907 & again in 1908 citing unfitness for painting.
A recommendation for architecture was a dead end since he lacked academic credentials though he had the interest.
He probably put his art skills/ sense of art to oratory, painting with speech.

Art & Physics.
When he turned 13 he discovered the violin sonatas of Mozart whereupon Albert Einstein fell in love with music more willingly. He even stated later, “If I were not a Physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music. I see my life in terms of music… I get most of my joy in life out of music.”

Art & Technology.
TED means- Technology, Entertainment & Design.

Matt Mullenweg the brains behind Automattic & chief of WordPress attended the High School for performing and visual Arts where he studied Jazz Saxophone.

Evan Spiegel.. Snap chat founder was educated at the Crossroads school for Arts & Sciences. He also took design classes at the Otis College of Art & Design while still in High School and at the Art Center College of Design.

Mark Zuckerberg was known for reciting lines from epic poems such as the Illiad at Harvard College.

The food for thought is no more Do the Arts influence greatness but Rather Do people with the sixth sense of Art end up being great naturally?
